SELECTED WORKS

WORKS BY GABE BC, COBY KENNEDY,  MARION FINK,

AND CAL LANE

February 15 - April 11, 2025

Currently on view in the C24 Gallery Atrium is a selection of works by Gabe BC, Marion Fink, Coby Kennedy, and Cal Lane

Since 2005, Gabe BC has been creating interactive and time-based, multi-media sculptures. His work focuses on our ubiquitous relationship to media and technology, in the form of video sculptures, public video installations, and AI oracles.

Coby Kennedy’s latest body of work is created using bullet proof Kevlar, stretched and mounted as canvases, patterned with rust, and framed in roughly soldered steel frames. While the Kevlar symbolizes the Black American experience of the impenetrable determination of survival in the face of adversity, the layers of oxidized rust reflect the corrosive patina formed from centuries of that endurance.

Both Marion Fink and Cal Lane’s work will be featured in our upcoming booth at Chicago Expo, in April. Fink’s large scale monoprints depict young people on the brink of discovery, grappling with the existential dilemmas brought about by modern, online culture. Lane plasma cuts lacey, “feminine” patterns into steel objects that are traditionally thought of as masculine, creating a body of work that invites a nuanced exploration of gender roles and norms.
